An economical and more user-friendly alternative to PCR strip caps; no sore thumbs and fingers guaranteed! Designed for PCR and storage. Precision cut to a smaller dimension for sealing one PCR 8-tube strip or a single 96-well plate row to prevent accidental pipetting or to re-seal rows that have been pierced. SealStrips remove easily and cleanly with no splash back as can occur with strip caps. Each sheet contains 8 strips on a continuous backing liner for ease of use. Strips can be peeled individually or two-at-a-time for increased efficiency. Features two end-tabs with perforations for ease of handling, application and removal. Certified DNase- & RNase- free.
A non-locking workstation is recommended for sample prep (e.g. 96 round-well PCR plate or deep-well storage plate). In order to minimize evaporation, we recommend removing the end-tabs at the perforations before cycling. Because 8-tube strips can flex when loading them into the cycler, a final sealing step is highly recommended. If properly used and applied, SealStrips provide an excellent secure seal to minimize sample loss; evaporation rates are comparable to or better than strip caps.

Removed from qPCR category based on customer feedback. We learned that these seals can be used for most qPCR applications, however these seals are not compatible with CY5 dye. If you have customers that are currently using these seals successfully for qPCR, there is no need to change them to another product.
